Week of the Young Child 2015

Teaching Strategies GOLD® & The Creative Curriculum®

At Teaching Strategies, we know early childhood. It’s all we do—and all we’ve done—for over 25 years.

Celebrating NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child

This week gives you the chance to celebrate young children – and gives us the chance to celebrate YOU! During this week (and every week!) we’re so grateful to you for supporting and caring for our youngest learners and their families.

We hope you’ll incorporate some of these songs, recipes, experiences, and interactions into your week. So let’s have some fun, and get cooking, tasting, singing, creating—and celebrating!

Mighty MinutesTM for Preschool is a collection of 100 quick, playful, and engaging activities that are designed to inspire learning. Each Mighty Minute is linked to learning objectives found in The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and can be used anytime and anywhere to intentionally teach language, literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical skills.

Mighty MinutesTM for Infants, Toddlers, & Twos is a collection of 100 short, playful rhymes, songs, chants and games that engage young children and support their development in all areas. Each Mighty Minute focuses on an objective for development and learning found in The Creative Curriculum for Infants,Toddlers, & Twos, making even the shortest activities meaningful and filled with warm interactions.

Intentional Teaching experiences make it easier for caregivers and teachers to individualize routines and experiences for infants, toddlers, and twos and individualize instruction for preschool children. Color-coded progressions of development and learning span the years from birth through kindergarten, so teachers and caregivers can consider full developmental sequences as they scaffold children’s learning and track children’s progress.

LearningGames® are research-proven, interactive games, intended for families with children up to age 5. They help successfully promote fundamental early childhood learning through flexible and simple daily activities that can be sent home to families as starting points for engaging children in fun and meaningful learning at home.
